Rules and Regulations for Ringwood Cemetery, Ringwood IL


Conduct of Persons within the Cemetery

 The Cemetery Grounds will be open from dawn to dusk.

The Cemetery shall in no way be liable for any injuries sustained by anyone in the Cemetery.

Persons shall conduct themselves in a respectful manner at all times on cemetery grounds

     Grave Decorations

Spring clean up will be on March 15 annually

Fall clean up will be on October 15 annually 

Flags and artificial flowers or objects will be removed once weathered.

There shall be only one planting approved by the Cemetery Management on each grave. 

No trees shall be planted on cemetery grounds unless advised by cemetery Management.

All decorative objects must be on the Monument or no more than 3 inches from the front of the Monument. As to not interfere with the grounds crew.

The cemetery has the right to remove any objects in disrepair or in the way of the grounds crew.

Monuments and Markers

Only one monument or marker may be placed on a grave in an area laid out by the Cemetery.

Upright monuments, where permitted, must be supported with a concrete foundation of 42 inches below ground level.  All bases must be constructed of Granite NO CONCRETE WASHES.

The foundation and setting of markers are the responsibility of the monument companies.

Interments

Every casket must have an enclosed outer container (Vault).

Only one vault is permitted on a grave.

Pet burials are not permitted.

Only 2 cremated remains shall be permitted per grave space.

All cremated remains must be buried in a non-biodegradable container. This container may be constructed of concrete, marble, or any material approved by the cemetery.
